Swedish massage

Swedish MassageSwedish massage helps with general relaxation and reducing pain or joint stiffness. It uses five styles of long, flowing strokes: effluerage (light touch), petrissage (kneading), tapotement (rhythmic tapping), friction (compression), and vibration. Swedish massage has shown to be helpful in reducing pain, joint stiffness, and improving function in patients with osteoarthritis of the knee over a period of eight weeks. The development of Swedish massage is credited to Per Henrik Ling though the Dutch practitioner Johan Georg Mezger adopted the French names to denote the basic strokes.

Cranial Release Technique

Hot Stone MassageThe patented Cranial Release Technique (CRT) is a natural, hans-on approach to releasing the body's inborn capacity to heal and regenerate itself.  CRT can be applied in just a few minutes,it has profound effects on overall health and well-being.  It can be a stand alone treatment, or incorporated into your regular massage. Please feel free to ask me more about this amazing technique.

Deep Tissue massage

Deep Tissue MassageDeep tissue massage is especially helpful for chronically tense and contracted areas such as still necks, low back tightness, and sore shoulders. It focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue.  The movement is slower than classic massage therapy and the pressure is deeper and concentrated on areas of tension and pain.  Deep tissue massage works by physically breaking down adhesions to relieve pain and restore normal movement.

Facial massage

Hot Stone Massage

Facial massage focuses on the face, neck, ears, and head and provides a stimulating, yet relaxing, addition to regular massage. It helps achieve younger-looking and healthier skin. It is also used to relieve stress, migraine headache, PMS, and sinus congestion. It may involve a whole massage session or a portion of a whole-body massage. A small amount of oil or lotion is often applied to facilitate movement over the delicate facial areas.
